What is an exploitation film? It is merely an opportunity to gawk,
ogle, leer, sneer, guffaw and chortle aloud at things you know better than to
do that at. It is pure energy derived from flaunting social taboos, yet somehow
uber-conservative in making sure the bad guy gets it. Or the villain of the
story at least. Exploitation films usually center on some illegal activity that
the hero and his pals make their living at. Moonshinin' for example. Or robbing
banks to pay for homegrown terror activities. Something sets them apart from
the mainstream, and keeps normal sane folks from helping them in any way. No
different here.
And
why call this first film King Of The Strippers? We argued about it. Chances
are, if we'd called it "Man's Reconciliation With Destiny", or "Glorious Leader
Lauds Successful Completion Of Newest Five Year Plan", you would not be reading
this.
